In the ever-evolving world of interior design, trends come and go, but one element has stood the test of time—wallpaper. From classic floral patterns to contemporary geometric designs, wallpaper offers a versatile and transformative solution for enhancing the aesthetics of any space.
A Brief History of Wallpaper.
The use of wallpaper dates back centuries, with its origins traced to ancient China, where hand-painted rice paper was used to adorn walls. In Europe, wallpaper became fashionable during the Renaissance era, with intricate patterns and motifs decorating the walls of palaces and mansions. By the 18th and 19th centuries, advancements in printing technology led to the mass production of wallpaper, making it more accessible to the middle class. Since then, wallpaper has continued to evolve, adapting to changing design trends and technological innovations.
One of the most compelling aspects of wallpaper is its versatility in design. From bold and vibrant patterns to subtle textures and faux finishes, the options are virtually limitless. Whether you prefer traditional damasks, modern stripes, whimsical florals, or abstract geometrics, there’s a wallpaper design to suit every taste and style.

- Traditional Non Woven Wallpapers
These are a step up from your peel and stick. It needs glue and we would advise you to get a professional installer to install them. We suggest 270 gsm – This ensures the quality of the paper. You can choose between a matt or glossy vinyl. Matt is always our preference as it creates more depth and allows for a sophisticated finish.
- Duramatte Fabric
The best of the best. At a slightly higher price point – The look and feel of this fabric wallpaper makes it worth it if you have the budget. We would use this in a special room where the wallpaper is the main feature. This would also be our first choice for high traffic areas as it is washable and scuff resistant.
Going through a reputable wallpaper company is always worth it. There is nothing more disappointing than receiving your wallpaper and it is pixelated or the wrong size.
